President Harding at Newly Opened Yankee Stadium

This photograph of President Warren G. Harding attending at baseball game at Yankee Stadium was taken on April 24, 1923. President Harding attended the game the same month the historic stadium opened on April 18th. Harding, alongside Postmaster General Harry S. New, Dr. Charles E. Sawyer, President Hardings personal doctor, businessman Albert Davis Lasker, and Jacob Ruppert, owner of the Yankees, watched the Yankees defeat the Washington Senators, 4-0.
